Who Can Apply

Student Status

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary program or be a recent graduate preparing to enter the building operations, property management, facility management, engineering, sustainability, or commercial real estate industry.

Toronto Building Operations Connection

Applicants should have a professional, business, educational, industry, or community connection to Toronto’s building operations sector, including building management, property management, facility management, commercial real estate, building services, suppliers, contractors, students, or related professionals.

Student Membership applications must be reviewed by TBMOA before approval. The review helps confirm that the applicant meets the student membership purpose and is suitable for this membership category.

Student status may be verified

TBMOA may request proof of student status, such as a student ID, enrolment confirmation, or another acceptable document, before approving the application.

Approval is required before activation

The Student Membership becomes active only after the application has been reviewed and approved by TBMOA.

Payment follows approval

If a student membership fee applies, payment should be completed after the application is approved and before the membership is activated.
